We purchased the site
unconditionally and spent
six months negotiating the
planning with Bristol City
Council. Following consent,
we tendered the construction
and awarded the project
to Chamberlain
Building Contractors.
The site has recently won a silver
Building for Life Award from CABE
(Commission for Architecture
and the Built Environment).

What an elegant building this was underneath - no wonder we won an award with it.
 Grade II
listing always throws down the gauntlet, but with the planners and the conservationists on board,
our hard working plans for 14 perfectly new apartments in a well preserved environment was
approved. With its lovely protected gardens, Grove House became a sublime sanctuary amid the
bustle of Clifton…and relax.
As always, we took pleasure in the detail and the result was worthwhile – gaining us recognition in
the form of a Building for Life Award from CABE (Commission for Architecture and the Built
Environment). It was an intelligent scheme from a funding perspective too, offering a bespoke investment scheme exclusively through Close Brothers. |
